Céline Forster

I have been performing at Wedding Ceremonies for over 20 years in both an ensemble and solo capacity. I have a degree in Music Performance majoring in Classical Voice as well as a Diploma in Music Education. I am able to sing a range of styles including exquisite Classical pieces, traditional Christian hymns, delightful Jazz Standards and beautiful modern ballads. I can learn any song that is not listed in the song list. As well, I am able to play instruments such as the flute to add a tranquil instrumental mood during the prelude and postlude.

Whether it is a stunning outdoor garden setting or the traditional peaceful setting of your chosen church, I will help set the appropriate mood for you and your guests to help make the ceremonial experience everything it can possibly be. I can also recommend various instrumentalists including keyboard players who can either perform with an elegant strings, piano or stylish full band background for your indoor or outdoor wedding, or play organ in the traditional Church environment.

Some people like to perform at the wedding reception for their spouses, in this respect I am able to provide singing lessons to help teach, refine and prepare budding vocalists for their presentation. Together we can prepare a wonderful performance with a backing track that you can practice to at home and come prepared with on the day.

I will help you and your guests feel completely at ease from the moment everyone arrives on your day. Your special day deserves to be enhanced with beautiful live music to accompany the whole experience. Providing an elegant, professional touch, feel free to contact me on 0414 902 191 or email: oms@bigpond.net.au and arrange a no obligation meeting to hear me sing and work out the repertoire best suited to your taste. With very reasonable prices, you can’t go wrong!

Tips

  • It is always useful to check with your celebrant if there is any music they will not allow at your ceremony as some churches have a strict music policy.

  • Think about the type of mood you want to create, whether it be traditional with a straight Classical and Religious theme or your own alternative.

  • What types of instruments would you like to have at your wedding? Harps, String Quartets, Jazz ensembles or duo’s, trio’s or soloists are but some of your choices. Remember that if price is a factor, a keyboardist and vocalist (especially one who can play extra instruments) can still create a larger sound with the help of keyboard functions.

  • Have someone aside from the Bridal Party signal your celebrant and musicians for a smooth and elegant start.
