Information For Schools:
Online Music Solutions provides a wide choice of music programs and activities for schools. Currently, the programs
are running in 18 primary schools.
2010 Courses
Kool Keyboard. A fun introduction to the keyboard using state of the art equipment and especially designed repertoire.
Earliest ages to commence lessons are Grade 1.
Wonderful Woodwind. Tuition in either saxophone, clarinet or flute with latest teaching techniques.
Earliest ages to commence lessons are Grade 3.
Swinging Strings. Tuition in violin in a group or individual capacity with up to date techniques and modern repertoire.
Earliest ages to commence lessons are Grade 3.
Grouse Guitar. An introduction to the guitar with an emphasis on skill development and ensemble playing.
Earliest ages to commence lessons are Grade 1.
Vibrant Vocals. A specialised program using techniques fron the 'Kodály' (pronounced Kodai) method specialising in combining singing with performing arts in a group format.
Earliest ages to commence lessons are all ages.
Dynamic Drums. An introduction to drums and percussion with emphasis on rhythmic development and ensemble playing.
Earliest ages to commence lessons are Grade 1.

Keyboard, Drums/Percussion, Strings, Guitar and Woodwind Courses are introduced in the school through an initial demonstration by
one of Online Music Solutions' expert tutors. The demonstration is usually presented class by class, or before different
school levels. Enrolment and information brochures are left at the school to be distributed to interested children.
A week is allowed for enrolment forms to be returned, after which, a timetable is arranged for lessons. A teacher at the
school acts as liaison between Online Music Solutions and the school.
Lessons are given in groups for Kool Keyboard, with one tutor taking responsibility for every five children. In the case of
Wonderful Woodwind, Swinging Strings, Grouse Guitar and Dynamic Drums, students have the choice of individual or small
group lessons.
Lessons highlight skill development, technique and basic rudiments. Where necessary, students may be
prepared for examinations with either the Australian Music Examinations Board or ANSCA. Lessons are supplied in school
time and after school. Instruments are available for hire in the Kool Keyboard and Wonderful Woodwind Programs.

Wonderful Woodwind - $16.50 per lesson

Please contact the office for information on pricing and instrument hire. At present only keyboards and woodwind instruments are available to hire.
Appropriate music books are provided for each program. Parents are invoiced directly by Online Music Solutions, and remittances
may be forwarded by cash, cheque or money-order.
A fixed amount of the revenue generated from the programs is returned to the school as a commission. This is paid each semester.
Concerts
Concerts, involving all children in the programs are presented in June and December, to which all parents and friends are invited.
Written reports are given in June and December to parents, copies of which are forwarded to the school. Tutors are willing to prepare
items for special school events and assemblies, and in the case of Wonderful Woodwind, Dynamic Drums and Swinging Strings, bands
and ensembles are often formed, which are important in showcasing the school.
